Davd De Zeeuw was born on June 26, 1955, in Sioux Center, IA., son of Stanley and Christine (Jansen) De Zeeuw Van Maanen. He attended school at Doon, Rock Valley Christian, Rock Valley Comm. High School and graduated from indianola High School in 1974. David owed and operated a grain trucking business from 1976 to 1979. David married Sandi Kreykes on May 27, 1977 in Sanbom, IA. They began farming for Tom McGill in 1979. David had also farmed with Bill Koedam and was currently farming with Earl De Bey. He also worked at the Sheldon Livestock salebarn in his spare time. David was a lifetime member and a past deacon of the First Reformed Church of Rock Valley. David enjoyed golfing and recently boating trips with his family. He was a regular at sporting events in the area and made sure he was always there if his children were involved. David had a wonderful sense of humor and was always teasing people. He had a zeal for life and lived his life to the fullest.
David died suddenly Friday, August 8 in Spirit Lake, IA He was 47 years, 1 month, 13 days of age.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sandi; son Kent of Rock Valley; 2 daughters Kristi and Karmen De Zeeuw of Rock Valley, his mother, Christine and step-father Ed Van Maanen; brother and his wife Lyle and Helen De Zeeuw of Rock Valley, 2 sisters and their husbands Dianne and Arlo Van K1ey of Rock Valley, Sylvia and Ron Kid of Sioux City, IA, 4 step-brothers and their wives Everret and Hedy Van Maanen, Marvin and Melinda Van Maanen all of Doon, IA, Randy and Sue Van Maanen of Oshkosh, WI, Brad Van Maanen of Rock Valley. 3 step-sisters and their
husbands , Joan and Marvin Post of Doon, IA, Mary Ann and Earl DeBey, Linda and Bruce Kooima all of Rock Valley; many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father, Stanley; father-in-law Harold Kreykes
