AGE: 76 Years, 11 Months, and 5 Days,
Funeral services will be conducted on Fuesday, May 31 at 10:00 A.M. at the
First Reformed Church in Sheldon, Iowa. Family prayer service at 9:45 AM.

INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Matlock, Iowa

Wesley De Zeeuw, son of Peter and Jeanette (Giebink) De Zeeuw, was born on June 21, 1923 in Middleburg, Iowa. He lived his youth in Middleburg and attended a country school west of Sheldon, Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Bertha Bakker of Steen, Minnesota on March 21, 1947 at the Reformed Church in Steen. They lived in Boyden, Iowa, Lake Wilson and Chandler, Minnesota before moving to Sheldon, Iowa. Wesley worked at the Boyden Produce for 19 years before retiring.
He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Sheldon. He was also a member of the American Legion. Wesley enjoyed camping, fishing and playing cards with his family and friends.
He passed away on Friday, May 26, 2000 at the Sibley Nursing and Rehab Center in Sibley, Iowa at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 5 days.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Bertha of Sheldon, Iowa; one son and daughter-in-law: Preston and Kathy De Zeeuw of Sioux City, Iowa; three daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Ken Alons of Edgerton, Minnesota, Janice and Don Dose of Everly, Iowa, Gracia and Dave Hobach of Matlock, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean and Ivan Monday of Apache Junction, Arizona, Marcella and Marvin Breuer of Sioux Center, Iowa, Elvera and Eldon Nelson of Hadley, Minnesota; brother-in-law: Delbert Haht of Sheldon, Iowa and many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Wanda Joy; his parents; one granddaughter: Debbie Hobach; one sister: Murriel Haht.
