Byron "Bike" Bruinsma
April 3, 1933-June 20, 1997

Byron "Bike" Bruinsma, 64, died Friday, June 20, in Sioux Center. Services were Tuesday, June 24, at 11 a.m. at New Life Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Carl Boersma officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Bruinsma was born April 3, 1933, in Sioux Center, to Sam and Gladys (Boeyink) Bruinsma. He married Anna Mae Eshuis on May 23, 1957, in Luverne, Minnesota. She preceded him in death on September 27, 1983.

Survivors include his father, Sam Bruinsma of Sioux Center; four children, LeAnn Helwig, Linda Feekes and Lisa Hoogland, all of Sioux Center, and David Bruinsma of Sacramento, California; and the following brothers and sisters and their spouses: Wayne and Mardy Bruinsma, Robert and Lorna Bruinsma and Joel and Donna Bruinsma, all of Sioux Center; Alda and William Severson and Judi and Gary Wilson, all of Sioux Falls; Sam Bruinsma and Frank Bruinsma, both of Fullerton, California; Paul Bruinsma of Boyden; Randy and Rita Bruinsma of Worthington, Minnesota; and Nancy and Tom De Bondt of Sioux Center.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys, on February 23, 1995, and two brothers, David and Stan.
