After a sickness of about five months to cancer, Mrs. Dick Westra, born Alice Sybrandy, last Wednesday, Oct. 18, deceased. Mrs. Westra was born near Sioux Center on March 31, 1895, and had thus attained the age of 49 years, 6 months and 18 days. On December 4, 1918, she joined in marriage with Dick Westra. They had two children, a sister, Mrs. J. Van Beek, and other family. The funeral was held on Monday at 1:30 at the house of the deceased, about three miles west of here, and at 2 o'clock in the Old Reformed Church in Sioux Center, led by elder Vander Hoef. The family and many neighbors and friends went thither. Our condolences to the mourners.
