Della Westra, 86, of Hull, died Wednesday, December 6, at Bethany Lutheran Nursing Home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

She was born September 23, 1903, at Hull, the daughter of Thys Post and Reolofje Gritter Post.

On May 23, 1923, she married Peter P. Westra at Hull. Except for about six years at Sheldon, they farmed near Hull. In 1952 they retired into Hull. Her husband died May 6, 1965, at Spencer.

She was a member of First Reformed Church in Hull, where she belonged to Reformed Church Women and the Martha Circle.

Survivors include her four sons, Peter Roy, of Hull; Sidney H. of Boyden; Delmar D. of Lynden, Washington, and Gerald J. of West Liberty; three daughters, Ruth Horstman, of Hull, Pearl Clark, of Victorville, California, and Joan Roth, of Sioux Falls; 41 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jeanette Berghorst, of Luverne, Minnesota; Min Koele, of Hull; and Ruth De Vries, of Sagle, Idaho.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty, in 1938; son, Thys Donald, in 1968; grandson, Jeff Sharlow; two infant grandsons, two infant great-grandsons, three brothers, George, John and Egbert Post; sister, Irene Vander Wilt; and two infant sisters.

Funeral services were Monday, December 11, at First Reformed Church of Hull. The Rev. Gerald Vander Velde and the Rev. Emmo Oltmans officiated. Interment followed at Hope Cemetery in Hull.
