IN MEMORY OF MRS. IDA BRUINSMA

Services: Tuesday, April 21, 1970, 1:30 p.m., at the Christian Reformed Church in Estelline, South Dakota. Clergyman: Pastor William P. Green. Music: Organist, Mrs. Lyle Bjorklund; vocalists, Mrs. William Green, Mrs. Lyle Bjorklund; "Jesus Lover of My Soul," "In Times Like These." Pallbearers: Gerrit Kalsbeck, Milo Kalsbeck, Lubert TeKrony, Ralph Saathoff, Ted DeYoung, Gerret Verhoeck.

Interment: Hillcrest Cemetery, Estelline, S.D. Relatives and friends are invited to return to the Church following committal rites for lunch and fellowship.

OBITUARY

Mrs. Ida Bruinsma was born on July 11, 1894 at Sioux Center, Iowa to Aalt and Jane Franken. She grew to womanhood there and was united in marriage to Dick Bruinsma on July 11, 1914 at Sioux Center. They farmed near Sioux Center until 1929 when they moved to a farm six miles east of Estelline, S.Dak. They lived there until 1959 when they retired and moved into Estelline where she lived until her death. She passed away at the Community Hospital in Estelline on Friday afternoon, April 17, 1970, reaching the age of 75 years, 9 months and 6 days. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Estelline and the Ladies Aid.

Mrs. Bruinsma is survived by her husband, Dick of Estelline; 5 daughters, (Jessie) Mrs. Arie Vander Wal of Volga, S. Dak., (Janet) Mrs. Arnold Bleeker of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, (Stephena) Mrs. Arnold Kalsbeck of Estelline, S. Dak., (Eleanor) Mrs. Wallace Wiesner of Beresford, S. Dak. and (Iva Mae) Mrs. Robert Jensen of St. Paul, Minn.; 5 sons, Alvin Bruinsma of Estelline, S. Dak., Bernard Bruinsma of Clear Lake, S. Dak., Lester Bruinsma, Castlewood, S. Dak., Delmar Bruinsma, Belmond, Iowa and Robert Bruinsma, Humboldt, S. Dak.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ella Altena of Sioux Center, and Mrs. Hattie Bruinsma of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 1 brother, Art Franken of Sioux Center, Iowa; 37 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Arthur, and one great grandson.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Van Putten, Mr. and Mrs. Lane Bruinsma and Lonnie, and Mr. and Mrs. Renold Bruinsma motored to Estelline, S.D. Tuesday to attend funeral services held for Mrs. Dick Bruinsma, who passed away following a long illness with cancer.
