William son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Huistein, was born July 5, 1916 at Sioux Center, Iowa. He attended Plato #5 rural school near Carmel.
He was united a marriage to Mina De Jong on March 31, 1943, at Perkins, Iowa. He farmed west of Carmel, lowa until retiring in 1979. They then moved to Sioux Center, Iowa.
He passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 1985, at St. Lukes Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of sixty nine years four months and one day.
He is survived by his wife: three daughters: Harriet (Mrs. Davld Anema) of Gunnison, Colorado; Sarah, Mrs. (Earl Smith) of London, Ontario, Canada. Ruth (Mrs Terry Duhn) of Del Rapids, South Dakota; one son, Willard of Rock Valley, Iowa ; five grandchildren and two step-grandsons two sisters, Ethel (Mrs. Alfred Hoogland) of Hospers, Iowa, and Sylvia, (Mrs Marion Krediet) Margate, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a lifetime member of the Carmel Reformed Church.
