Gerrit W.. son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hulstein, was born on June 9, 1934 at rural Orange City, where he attended school and lived his youth.
He was united in marriage with Phyllis Cannegieter of Wellsburg, Iowa on July 14, 1966 at Wellsburg Iowa. Their married life was lived on an Orange City farm. He had served as a deacon in the Central Reformed Church of Sioux Cente, Iowa. He was a member of the Dover Avenue Alliance Church of Orange City, Iowa, where he was serving as a deacon. He was a member of the Farm Bureau.
He passed away on Thursday, October 11, 1984 at a Sioux City Hospital at the age of fifty years. four months and two days
He is survived by his wife Phyllis: a son Brent Leo and a daughter Carol Ranee, both at home, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Steve G. Hulstein: and a sister Marlene Hulstein of Spencer;. IA.
