Donna Lou Brown, 64, of McNally, rural Ireton, died Tuesday, October 19, 1993, at McNally. Services were held Friday, October 22, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton with the Rev. Perry Schefelker officiating. Burial was held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton. Visitation was held at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. Mrs. Brown was born December 29, 1928, in rural Sioux Center, the daughter of Albert and Martha (Baumgartner) Muth. She attended rural schools in the elementary grades and graduated from Hawarden High School in 1946. She married Ronald Ralph Brown, October 24, 1948, in Ireton. The couple made their home in McNally, where they owned and operated McNally Grain Co. Inc., until their retirement in 1991. Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton where she was active in the Ladies Aid.Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Marsha Brown of Ireton; Janet Brown of Sioux City; and Carol Williams and her husband, Rick, of Ames; a son, Randall Brown of Minneapolis; two granddaughters, Kathryn and Nicole Williams of Ames; three sisters, Bernadine Meins of Vermillion, SD; Melba Bukman and her husband, John, of Akron; and Fern Opdahl and her husband, Lorentz of Hudson, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Thomas and Russell, and an infant brother.
