Mrs. R.A. Schulz Dies in California

Mrs. R.A. Schulz of Altadena, Calif, about 63, a former Hawarden resident died July 11, from a heart attack.

Mrs Schulz, who had been active in the American Legion Auxiliary in Hawarden, was being installed as district secretary of the Auxiltary there at a meeting and fell over in a chair just before she was to be called upon to take office.

Funeral services were at 2:30 Friday at the First Lutheran church in Altadena with burial in the Mount View mausoleum.

Mrs. Schulz was born at Norfolk, Neb. and resided in Harwarden when her husband was in charge of the meat department of the Council Oak store when it was located on Central avenue. She returned to Hawarden several times, visiting in the Lawrence Dagle home and with other friends.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Elaine Cressman, two sons Donald and Marvin and 12 grandchildren all of California.
