Mrs.Fannie Kooima,91, of Rock Valley, mother of Mrs. John Dekkers of Hawarden, died Friday morning at a nursing home where she had resided the past two months.

Mrs. Kooima the former Fannie Hoekstra, was born December 27, 1872, in the Netherlands and came to the United States and the Rock Valley area at the age of 18. She married to Jake Kooima in 1895, and they farmed near here until moving into Rock Valley in 1936. He died in 1938.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs.Robert Jacobsma of Rock Valley and Mrs. John Dekkers of Hawarden, five sons Sam J., Tony, Charles, Ted all of Rock Valley and Gerrit of Hudson SD., two sisters, Mrs. Henry Ykema of Rock Valley and Mrs. H.J. Van Otterloo of Hancock, Minn., 46 Grandchildren, 99 great Grandchildren and one great great grandchildren
