Funeral services for Norman Torkelson,48,of Hudson, who died Monday of last week at the Veterans hospital in Sioux Falls after a brief illness, were held at 2, o'clock Friday at the Hudson Lutheran church. Rev. O.V. Everson officiated. Burial was at Hudson under the direction of the Vande More Funeral home.

Mr. Torkelson was born May 12, 1917 on a farm near Husdon. He was a longtime farmer and resident of that community. He served in the U.S. Navy about one and one half years. He married Maxine Fisk, September 12, 1947 at Hudson.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs Terry Groth of Inwood; a brother, Ernest of Fifty Lakes, Minn.; five sisters, Mrs. Elmer Johnson of Terre Haute, Ind., Mrs. Oscar Rikansrud of Canton SD., Mrs. Leon Marshall of Hudson, Mrs. Raymond Jensen of Beresford, and Mrs. Verle Harlan of Bellflower,Calif., and two grandchildren
