Funeral Services for John Draayer,79,of Ireton, who died Wednesday of last week at the Sioux Center hospital after an illness of two week, were held at 1:30 Saturday at the Christian Reformed church in Ireton. Rev.William Rubingh officiating. Burial was in the Orange City cemetery.

He was born Oct.16, 1886 at Heerde, The Netherlands, and came to the United States two years later with his family Mr. John Draayer and Wilhelmina nee (Riphagen) Draayer. In 1914 he married Mrs. Rena Nihof. The couple farmed near Sioux Center until moving to Ireton in 1919.Mrs. Draayer died in 1957.

Survivors include a daughter,Mrs. Herman Vollink of Ireton; two stepsons,Rev. Henry Nihof in South Dakota and Gerrit Nihof of Sioux Center; a stepdaughter, Rena Nihof of Ireton; Five brothers Bert of Hollandale, Minn., Albert of Los Angles, Calif., Gerrit of Sioux Center and Chris and Henry both of Ireton; a sister Mrs. Sam Wynia of Sioux Center, 17 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
