Funeral services for Mrs. Nick Weyer,74,who died Thuesday night at the Hawarden hospital after a brief illness, although she had been in failing health, will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Methodist church. Rev.C.E. Custer will officiate with burial at Grace Hill cemetery under direction of the Barnard Funeral home.

Maria Johanna Arends was born at Usquert in the Netherlands May 24,1887. She married Klaas Weyer April 1, 1922 in Holland. They came to America in 1928 and settled at Lebanon. In 1934 they came to Hawarden where she resided the remainder of her life. Mrs. Weyer was a member of the Methodist church and a church circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband August 15, 1960.

Survivors include three sons, Peter, Bernard and Frank, all of Hawarden; a duaghter, Jessie, Mrs. Lynn Kissinger of Sioux City and 18 grandchildren.
