PAUL GROENEWEG PASSED AWAY

Paul Groeneweg, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Groeneweg passed away in the Hull hospital Saturday morning following an illness of less than a week. He was taken sick with appendicitis while husking corn Monday morning of last week. He went home and seemed to feel better, but later became worse, and was taken to the hospital in Hill Wednesday. There it was found that he had a ruptured appendix, and that he was in a critical condition. An operation was performed to drain his system from the poison that had gone through him, but it was too late to save him.

Paul was born near Rock Valley April 27, 1915, and all his life was spent in Rock Valley and vicinity. He had a number of friends here who regret his untimely passing.

He leaves to mourn his parents and five brothers, Leonard, John, Simon, Walter and Albert, and three sisters, Mrs. H. Van Ginkel, and Rena and Lyda at home.

Funeral services were held in the Old Reformed Church in Rock Valley Tuesday afternoon and the remains were taken to Valley View Cemetery. The services were largely attended.
CARD OF THANKS.
We desire to extend our sincere thanks to our friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy during the sickness and death of our son and brother. Your kindness is very much appreciated.
~Mr. and Mrs. B. Groeneweg and Children
