Rites Held For Mrs. Guy Venard Here Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Guy Venard, 73, long time resident of this community, who died Sunday at the hospital from a heart ailment, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the associated church. She entered the hospital here on Octomber 21. Rev William Sebring officated with burial in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home.

Mrs. Venard was born Setpember 28, 1888, on a farm in Union county, South Dakota, a daughter of William R. and Jane Green. On February 1910 she married Guy Venard in Hawarden.

She was a member of the Associated Ladies Aid and Sewing class, the Garden department of the Hawarden Woman's club, and the Associated church.

Survivors include the widower; three sons, Wayne and Paul of Hawarden and Raymond of Vermillion, two sisters, Miss Ona and Miss Minnie Green of Hawarden; five grandsons and seven great grandchildren.
