Final Services Held Tuesday For Coy Wood, 62

Funeral services for Coy Wood,62, lifelong resident of Hawarden who died last Thursday at Sioux Valley hospital following a lengthy illness, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. C.E. Custer and Rev. Hans Poppee officiating. James Squier was the soloist accompanied by Mrs. Hal Shoemaker at the organ. Interment was in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home

Mr. Wood was born January 26, 1889 in Hawarden. He married Rose Sapp at Lansing NC., December 31, 1916. He was employed by the Northwestern Railway for many years and later by the city.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Roy of Long Beach, Calif., Ted of Wilmington, Calif., and Edsel of Norwalk, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Delorey of Minneapolis and Mrs. Helen Thompson of Sioux Falls; his mother Mrs. Frank Bryson of Hawarden; two sisters, Mrs. C.T. Youngkin of Hawarden and Mrs. Arnold Shedd of Akron., 10 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
