Services Held For Mrs. Marie Allen

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Isabel Allen,88,who died Thursday at the Panska Nursing home following a long illness were held at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist church here.

Dr. Franklin Morse officated. James Squier was soloist accompanied by Mrs. Hal Shoemaker at the organ. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home.

Casket bearers include Will Gregg, Warren Gregg, Roy Vipond, Leslie Allen, Ken Carlson and Don Heumphreus.

Mrs. Allen was born April 14, 1873, at Mount Vernon, Ill. She married Eli Allen February 8, 1893 at Mount Vernon. They came to here in 1920. He died in 1934 She was a member of the Bapist church and of the Mother's club of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Chester Vipond of Hudson and Mrs. Mary Hampton of Havard Neb.,Three sons Sharp of Hawarden, Ben of Sioux City and Fred of Rosemount, Minn., a brother Walter Shelton of Mount Vernon; 23 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren
