HAWARDEN, Iowa - Lucille Brunsting, 80, of Hawardendied Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden, with the Rev. Loren Vogler officiating.Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden. Mrs. Brunsting was born June 9, 1920, in Ireton, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Hattie (Daniels) Johnson.She married Fred Brunsting on Nov. 7, 1939, in Ireton. The couple farmed near Hawarden until her husband's death on July 11, 1967. She moved into Hawarden in 1968 and was employed as a nurses aide at Mape's Nursing Home. She entered Hillcrest Health Care Center in April 2000. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Dennis and Kathy of Sioux City, and Doug and Diane of Ireton; three daughters and their husbands, Karen and Richard Weyen of Hawarden, Janet and Bill VerMulm of Hudson, S.D., and Linda and Jim Noonan of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.She also was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Tracy Brunsting; two brothers, Don and Ed Johnson; and a sister, Gladys Dimmick.
