VAN IPEREN, VAN WEY, VANDER GRIEND

Steven Van Iperen, 78, of Orange City died Tuesday, June 30, 1992, at the Orange City Hospital

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, Orange City, with Rev. Jack Gray officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home at Orange City.

Mr. Van Iperen was born July 29, 1913, at Worthington, Minn., the son of S. and Dora (Van Wey) Van Iperen. He married Nellie Vander Griend Feb. 1,1939, at Middleburg. They farmed in the Orange City area until they moved into town in 1962. He theny worked for Silent Sioux and later the Vogel Paint Company. He was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church, where he was active in their prayer breakfasts. He was treasurer of the Orange City Senior Citizens, and a member of the Kingdom Senior Citizens at Sioux Center.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Dorothy and Justin Hofmeyer and Gloria and Larry Hoekstra of Orange City; six grandchildren, Leasa Vande Kamp, Deb Hellinga, Rhonda Slagter, Janna Hofmeyer and Michelle and Michael Hoekstra; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Oren of Orange City, Henry of Turis, and Bert of Hartley; four sisters, Gert Harmelink of Sanborn, Nell Van Oort of Hospers, Ann Jiskoot of Alton and Dorothy Byker of Orange City. He was preceded in death by a brother, Peter, and a sister, Jennie VerMulm.
