Mrs. Bertha Geels, 77, of Sioux Center died Wednesday, February 13, at her home after a long illness.

Services were at 2 P.M., Friday, February 15, at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Duane Tinklenberg officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Geels, the former Bertha Bierma, was born April 16, 1907, at Sioux Center and attended Sioux Center Christian School. She married James Geels, February 18, 1932 at Sioux Center. They lived at Maurice and Ireton, and in 1978 moved to Sioux Center.

She was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Gertrude) Boer of Sioux Center; Mrs. Bernard (Nelvia) Van't Hul of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Miss Clarice of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Miss Wilma of Birmingham, Ala., and Miss Marilyn of New York City; two sons, Don of Bloomington, Ind., and Bob of Grand Rapids; three brothers, George of Sioux Center, Syne of Hudsonville, Mich., and Bill of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Gerrit (Katherine) Visser of Sioux Center; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
