Willem Geels died at his home in Orange City early Monday morning at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 27 days. His death was due to heart trouble and dropsy.

Mr. Geels was sick 12 days. He was born October 5, 1866 in Appeldoorn, The Netherlands and came to the United States in 1894. In 1909, he was united in marriage to Dirkje De Walle at Orange City. They lived near Orange City all their married life.

Mr. Geels was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include his wife, 1 son Andrew of Sheldon, 1 grandchild and 1 brother, Christian of Alton.

The funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o'clock in the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Mr. R. L. Haan of Hull officiating. Interment was made in the Orange City cemetery.
