George Dagle of Sioux City Dies

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dagle were called to Sioux City at the death of his brother, George Dagle, 69, who died Saturday [Dec. 6] after having suffered a heart attack two weeks previously.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning in the Cathedral with burial at Sioux City.

Mr. Dagle had been a foreman at the Wigman Wholesale Plumbing Supply Co. in Sioux City.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Jack; two brothers, Lawrence of Hawarden and Nelson of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Jackbeck[?] of Sioux City, Mrs. Claude Whitehot[?] of Omaha and Mrs. Ida Michler[?] of Riverside, Calif; and three grandsons. Another son, Marvin, died several years ago.

A summary of this obituary, originally posted 9/7/2008, added that he was born May 31, 1889 in Union County, S.D., parents H. L. and Mederese (LaFleur) Dagle, and that his wife's name was Azalia.

Has Heart Attack While in Church

George Dagle of Sioux City, brother of Lawrence Dagle, suffered a heart attack while attending church services Sunday of last week. He was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent's hospital where Mr. Dagle visited him Wednesday, at which time his condition was somewhat improved.

While in Sioux City Mr. and Mrs. Dagle visited in the George Gaskin and Mrs. Minnie Whaley homes.
