Mrs. K. Noordhoff died at her home in this city sunday afternoon, after suffering for several months. The funeral services were conducted at the Holland church last Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Kolyn adn Zwemer, and were largely attended.
( Grietje Luursema born 16 Nov 1846 Bierum Gr. Neth died 12 Nov 1893 buried in Orange City IA. Her parents were Lukas Tonnis Luurtsema and Martha Kornelis Visscher (www.genlias.nl)
Her husband was Klaas NOordhoff b. 1 Jan 1843 died 8 Jan 1926 Orange City.
The 1880 census places the family in Chicago IL and Nicholas Noordehoff was 37, wife Grace was 33, Frederick was 5, Martha 4, Lucas 2 and Jennie 1 mo. 1900 census places the family in Sioux County IA, Klaas is 57 came to USA in 1872, children Martha 24, Jennie 17 and Henry 7. In the 1925 census of Sioux County Klass was married to a Kate.)
