Leslie Henry Allen, 54, an employee of the city light and water departments since 1936, died at 6:15 Monday evening at his home here from a heart attack. He had not been well for two years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon at the Baptist Church. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of the Barnard Funeral Home.

Son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Allen, he was born December 23, 1907, at Hawarden where he attended the public schools.

Mr. Allen joined the Baptist church in April of 1922 and was a church trustee for a number of years. He was a member of the volunteer fire department 19 years.

He maried Laura Finch April 3, 1929.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by the widow and one sister, Mrs. Della Hudson of Manitou Springs, Colo.
