Rev. JEFFERS Of
Sioux City Dies

Rev. William Walter JEFFERS,
89, one of the founders of the
Holiness Mission in Sioux City,
died Sunday afternoon at the
mission where he had been living
since retiring from active mission
work several years ago.

Rev. JEFFERS was well known by
many in Hawarden. He organized
the Holiness Mission here an number
of years ago. He also at various
times conducted evangelistic
services here.

Rev. JEFFERS was born October
28, 1864, at Baraboo, Wis. Early
years of his life were spent in
Plymouth county where he taught
school.

Rev. JEFFERS was a member of the
Methodist church and in recent years
had been active in Wesleyan Methodist work.
Survivors are the widow, Alvena
of Seney, Iowa, and a son
William of Haxtun, Colo.

Funeral services will be held at
1 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday)
at the Anderson Funeral home in Sioux
City. Burial will be in Logan park
cemetery.
