Dorothy Den Hartog, 56, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Rock Valley, died June 16 at a Sioux Falls hospital.

Services were held June 19 at the Porter Funeral Home with the Rev. David Waterman officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Den Hartog, formerly Dorothy Van Geest, was born February 7, 1924.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Joe Van Geest of Rock Valley; a son, Radioman 1st Class Lee E. Den Hartog serving with the U.S. Navy in Japan; a daughter, Mrs. David (Linda) De Vries of Alvord; a sister, Mrs. Gerrit (Lucille) Van Maanen of Rock Valley and five grandchildren.
