Carl A. Busch, 93, of Hawarden, died Oct. 14, 1992, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden, with the Rev. Loren Vogler officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery in Hawarden, under direction of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mr. Busch was born Oct. 24, 1908 in Hawarden, the son of Charles and Ann (Moehlmann) Busch. He married Helen Heuer May 24, 1931 in Hawarden. The couple farmed in the Ireton area an moved to Hawarden in 1970. Following retirement he worked as a gardener at the Hawarden golf course, Hawarden city parks, public library and at many residences in Hawarden. Mrs. Busch died July 12, 1978. Mr. Busch was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Hawarden.

Survivors include two sons, Darlow of Ireton and Merlyn of Hawarden; a daughter, lona Anderson of Le Mars; two brothers, Art Busch and Harold Busch, both of Hawarden; a sister, Mrs. Les (Florence) Klemme of Akron; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
