MRS. BERT BOMGAARS

Mrs. Bert Bomgaars, nee Jennie De Gooyer, died at her home in Orange City Sunday evening, July 23, at about eleven o'clock. Mrs. Bomgaars died after an illness of several years. Of late she underwent great suffering.

The deceased was born in Alton in November, 1874. She was united in marriage to Bert Bomgaars of Middleburg in 1895. The couple lived on a farm near Boyden for several years, and for the last fourteen years have been living in Orange City. Mr. and Mrs. Bomgaars were patron and matron at the Pioneer Home for many years. When Mrs. Bomgaars' health became such that she could no longer take care of her work, Mr. Bomgaars took over the position of janitor at the local public school.

Those who survive are her husband, Bert Bomgaars, and three children, Clarence of Worthington, Minn., Roy of near Newkirk, and Alvina, Mrs. Henry Den Hartog, of this city. One daughter, Ada, died in 1925. Seven grandchildren survive.

Two sisters are also left to mourn, Mrs. Herman Ver Hoef of Boyden and Mrs. Hattie Pas. Two sisters, Nelly, Mrs. K. Rouwenhorst and Maggie, Mrs. Frank De Haan and two brothers, Henry and William De Gooyer, preceded Mrs. Bomgaars in death.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at one o'clock at the home and at 1:30 at the First Reformed church with Rev. Mr. Z. Roetman of Newkirk officiating.
