Mrs. Henry Bomgaars, of Newkirk, died on last Thursday [May 4], from a long illness with typhoid fever. The funeral was held on Saturday from the Reformed church at Newkirk, and was largely attended. This is an especially sad death to those who knew Mr. and Mrs. Bomgaars, as they had been married but a short time.

News notes in The Herald and the Democrat in April report her suffering from kidney and liver and/or heart trouble.

A news note on their marriage in the Democrat, March 4, 1905 says that they were married Thursday [March 2] and that she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Te Grootenhuis. They planned to settle on the farm belonging to her mother.
