WELL KNOWN YOUNG MAN DIES SUDDENLY
Henry Bomgaars died quite suddenly at his home on tbe Grotenhuis place two and a quarter miles north of Newkirk Thursday morning January twentieth at about seven o'clock.
He had been a sufferer for several years from a complication of ailments due to a weakness of the heart. A few weeks ago he sustained injuries in a sled accident which hastened his end.
Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bomgaars and was born at Pella twenty-nine years ago. He came to Alton as a baby in 1882 with his parents. His father had been dead a number of years and his mother is now Mrs. Schoep of Sioux Center.
Deceased was married in 1905 to Miss Minnie Te Grotenhuis who died within a few months. He was married again about four years ago to Miss De Jong--a daughter of P. H. De Jong of Newkirk--and two children blessed their union.
Surviving brothers and sisters are Will of Middleburg, Bert of Boyden, Mrs. Rokus Vos of Maple Lake, Minnesota, Mrs. Sjoerd De Jong of Newkirk, Miss Nellie who clerks in Starrets store at Sheldon. The first wife of William Stronks of Alton was also a sister.
Funeral services are to be conducted this Saturday afternoon by Rev. Schuurmans of the Newkirk Reformed church at twelve-thirty from the house and at one-thirty from the church. Interment will be made in the Newkirk cemetery.
