Harold Hout, 70, of Hawarden, died Thursday (April 16, 1992), at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services were Saturday at Porter- Dow funeral Home in Hawarden. Rev. Paul Hansen officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hout was born June 23, 1921, in Hawarden, son of Frank and Ethel (Marnum) Hout. He served in the U.S. army during World War II, from Nov. 20, 1942, until Jan. 29, 1946. He worked for L. G. Everist Inc. at Hawarden until his retirement in 1980.
He was a member of the Hawarden American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include two brothers, Clyde of Pitkin, La., and Frank J. of Renton, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Cora) Bell of Hawarden and Mrs. Taisto (Evelyn) Maki of Clinton, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leslie; and three sisters, Mildred Kelhower, Alberta Waterman and Ella Anderson.
