Mrs. Sam Fylstra, 58, of Sioux Center, died December 24 at Hegg Hospital in Rock Valley.

Services were held December 27 at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Fylstra, the former Greta Brinkman, was born September 2, 1921 near Middleburg. She attended school in the Alvord area.

She was married March 28, 1946, at Bease, Minnesota. The couple lived in Hull and moved to Sioux Center in 1978.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Shirley) Van Maanen of Luverne and Mrs. Carl L. (Alvora) Duchine of Marine City, Michigan; her mother, Mrs. Ruth Bliek of Sioux City; two brothers, Peter Brinkman of Rock Valley and Henry Brinkman of Sioux Falls, and two sisters, Mrs. Ornal Arends of Ellsworth, Minnesota, and Mrs. Henry Van Veldhuizen of Sioux Center.
