Mr. and Mrs. G. (Gerrit) Hoeven mourn the death of their infant son, that was called to the great beyond Sunday, Jun 4th. The funeral was held at the Reformed Church Rev. Vander Kamp officiating. Also included in the same paper was an article - K. B. Weiland and family of Sioux Center and Ben Hoeven and family of George, IA attended the funeral of the Hoeven infant.
(This infant in recorded in the Sioux County death records as Edward Hoeven 1 yr, or possibly 17 months. Parents were Gerrit Hoeven 1865 - Apr 30, 1948 and Philippina 'Lena' Wieland 1872-1954 both buried in Nassau Cemetery Alton IA. In the 1900 the couple had the following children - Charles 1895, Allie 1897, Endor 1900, Edna 1903, and Muriel 1909.)
