From the Alton Democrat of Jun 3, 1893. Also listed in the Sioux County Herald and death there reported as a result of a peurperal fever. "Mrs. A. Jongewaard, who resided north of town, died Thursday morning." (She is listed in the cemetery index as Kate Jongewaard died 31 May 1893 31 years of age, wife of Anthony buried in Orange City. Anthony, son of Albert and Jane was born Mahaska - Pella IA Jan 3, 1864 and died Jul 29, 1932 at Litchville ND. Kate was Cornelia Bogaard and was born 25 Jul 1861 at Pella IA to Arie Bogaard 1824-1910 and Wyntje Van Woudenberg 1822-1893. Anthony remarried to Mary and in the 1900 census there were the following children the first four evidently born to Anthony and Kate. Albert 13, Winnie 11, Arnie 9, Geroge 8, Richard 3, and Henrietta 1.)
