Died, Saturday morning, May 6th, 1893, of heart disease, the beloved wife of Thomas Gibson Betts. The funeral was held at two o'clock Monday afternoon at the Congregational church. None of the relatives from afar could be in atendance except one brother, H. H. Maupin and wife of Beresford. The entire communtiy extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
(This was found to be Cornelia Maupin Betts born 1 Jan 1856 Virginia to Junius F. and Ann Maupin, as found in the 1870 census of Augusta Virginia. Cornelia Maupin Betts was born 1856 and died 6 May 1893 and is buried in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden. Thomas Gibson Betts married again on Dec 13, 1894 to Alice Carrie May.)
