Mrs. Gardie Wiersma
Funeral sevices for Mrs. Gardie Wiersma, 80 of Orange City, were Saturday, April 20 in the First Reformed church there. The Rev. R. Van Heukelom officiated and burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery.
Born Oct 1, 1887, in Orange City, she was married to Gardie Wiersma Feb 10, 1909, in Orange City. The couple farmed near Orange City until 1947 when they moved to Orange City. Mr. Wiersma died in March, 1967.
Survivors include three sons, John of Alton, Lawrence of Orange City, and Harvey of Rock Rapids, a daughter, Mr. Ralph Van Zyl of Hospers, 11 Grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
