Mrs. Schrier, an aged lady, died suddenly in this city Wednesday morning of heart failure. She complained of feeling poorly to her husband when he got up that morning, and an hour afterwards was found dead in bed. The afflicted family and friends have the sympathy of the entire community.
(Listed in the Sioux County Cemetery Index Anna Sophia born 22 Aug 1822 died 19 Aug (Apr) 1893 buried in St. Mary's Cemetery Alton, her husband Mathias Joseph born 8 Sep 1823 died 2 Dec 1914 buried there also. According to a report found on ancestry.com she was born in Koln, Koln, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany, she married in 1857 in Germany and had at least four children; William, Michel, John and Elizabeth.)
