Otto DeJong, 92, of Maurice, died
Wednesday (Aug. 6,1980). in a nursing
home in Sioux Center.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday at
Maurice Reformed church. Rev,
David Laman and Terry Maassen
officiated. Burial was in Sherman
township cemetery at Maurice under
action of Van Gelder Funeral Home
of Orange City.

Mr. DeJong was born Aug. 23,1887,
in the Netherlands. He came to the
United States in 1918.

He married Susie Postma Sept. 15,
1921, at Grand Rapids, Mich. They
farmed in Ireton until 1931 when they
moved to Maurice where he was custodian
of the Maurice Reformed church.

Mrs. DeJong died in April of 1970.
He was a member of Maurice Reformed
church.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs.
Gerit (Clarissa) Dekker of Hospers
and Jeanette of Orange City; and two
grandchildren.
