Garrett John Reinders was the son of Gerrit Reinders and Dena (Hofmeyer) Reinders.
On February 20, 1925, he married Jacoba Wielenga at Orange City, IA.
They farmed in the Orange City area until 1956, when they moved into town. Gary then worked for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, until retiring in 1962.
He was a member of the Immanuel Chrisitan Reformed Church.
Survivors include his wife; son, Gerald of Orange City; daugther, Mrs. Willard (Carol) Wolfswinkel of Le Mars; 9 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Gertrude) Wiersma and Geraldine; and step-sister, Mrs. Orville (Elizabeth) De Jong, all of Orange City. Gary was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and John G.
