Emelia Christine Bremer, 81, 112
Second St. SE, died unexpectedly Sunday
at her home. She had been in ailing health
for several years.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2
p.m. at the Zion Lutheran church in Horton
township near Ocheyedan, with Rev.
Lowell Boettcher officiating. Burial will be
in the Zion Lutheran cemetery in Horton
township. A prayer service will be held
Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The former Emelia C. Lehrman was
born July 14, 1888, in Sioux county near
Orange City to the late William G. and
Wilhelmine (Jacobs) Lehrman.

She married James W. McAllister Feb.
15,1914, at Long Rock, la. He died April
30, 1916, and she then married Henry
Bremer Jan. 1, 1920, at Ocheyedan. He
died several years ago.

Mrs. Bremer, a homemaker, lived in
Sioux county until 1913 and then lived at
various places in Iowa and California
before returning to Iowa and Sioux county
in the early I950's. She has lived in Le Mars
the last 14 years.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran
church, Le Mars.

She was preceded in death by her
parents, both husbands, a brother and a
step-daughter.

Survivors are a son. Homer McAllister
of South Gate, Calif.; two grandchildren
and a great-grandchild; two step-daughters,
Mrs. Ed (Emma) Reuter of Worthington
and .Mamie Peterson of Terrill; two
step-sons, Ernest Bremer of Worthington
and Robert Bremer of Spirit Lake; four
brothers, Oscar of Spencer, S.D., William
of Long Beach, Laurence of Orange City
and Harold of Maurice; four sisters, Mrs.
John (Eleanora) Gelder of Oklahoma
City, Mrs. Walter (Rose) Gibson of Sioux
City, Mrs. Elmer (Carmen) De Raad and
Mrs. Earl (Martha) Cooper, both of Le
Mars.
