MRS. ADA VAN DE WATER
OF PARKER, S.D., DIES

Ada Lucille Mitchell was born
near Davis, S.D., Nov. 20, 1893,
and died Dec. 26, 1967, at Sioux
Falls.

She was the daughter of John
and Violet Mitchell, early Turner
county settlers. In 1908 she
moved with her parents to Hurley,
S.D., and graduated from
Hurley high school in 1913.

She was married to Harold G.
Van De Water June 26, 1913,
at Hurley, S.D. They lived at
Alexandria, S.D., until 1916
when they moved to Ireton. In
1943 they moved to Parker,
S.D. Mr. Van De Water died in
1959.

She joined the Methodist
church at an early age and was
a faithful member of the Woman's
Society of Christian Service.

She was a fifty-year member
of the Rebecca lodge.

Survivors include one daughter
Mrs. Bernice Stewart, Sioux
City; two sons Keith of Vancour-
ver, Wash., and Lloyd of Le
Mars; three sisters, Mrs. Daisy
Hershey of Mitchell, S.D., Mrs.
Maude Kastra and Mrs. Elsie
Rundell of Hurley; six grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents; husband and infant
twin sons preceded her in
death.
