MRS. MARY LYNN DIED FRIDAY. Passed Away in Chicago at Advanced Age of 85 Years.

Mrs. Mary Lynn, who for many years made her home in Hawarden, passed away at 4 o'clock last Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. L. McManaman in Chicago, following an illness of a week from heart trouble and infirmities due to old age. Her remains were brought to Hawarden Sunday, accompanied by J. L. McManahan, while Mrs. McManaman and daughter Ardith and son Lynn drove here by car.

Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at St. Mary's church with Rev. Fr. J. M. Neppel in charge. Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mary O'Hara was born at Mineral Point, Wis., Aug. 22, 1849, and passed away March 15, 1935, at the advanced age of 85 years, 6 months and 23 days. On July 5, 1868, she was united in marriage with Archibald Lynn at Mineral Point and for a time they continued to make their home in Wisconsin. Later they came to Iowa, locating at Remsen. In 1893 they came to Hawarden and for a number of years lived on a farm, northeast of Hawarden. In 1909 they retired and moved to Hawarden where Mr. Lynn died Jan. 20, 1924.

Following the death of her husband Mrs. Lynn made her home with her grandson, John McManaman, in this city and later she lived with her daughter in Idaho and with a granddaughter, Mrs. Matt Agnes in LeMars but for the past four years she made her home in Chicago with Mrs. McManaman.

She was the mother of nine children two of whom survive her. One daughter and three sons died in infancy. One daughter, Mrs. J. H. McManaman, died Aug. 20, 1900; a son, Archie B. Lynn, died Jan. 5, 1908; and another daughter, Mrs. J. F. Ryan, died June 21, 1910. Her two surviving children are Mrs. D. J. Hanley of Boise, Idaho, and Mrs. J. L. McManaman of Chicago. She also leaves one sister, Julia O'Hara of Mineral Point, Wis. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her grandchildren who live in Hawarden are Mrs. Kay Rummel and John McManaman.
