Ed Laherty, of Sibley brother of Tom Laherty, of Hospers and Will Laherty, of LeMars, was instantly killed by a wild train on the Omaha road last Monday. Another man was injured also, but was able to flag the south-bound afternoon train, which stopped and carried the mangled corpse of poor Ed to Ashton, where it was removed. Peter Kass, of this city was on the train and says it was on of the saddest sights of his life.
