MRS. E. LUNDEEN DIES ON FRIDAY
Mrs. Emil Lundeen, a resident of this vicinity for over 30 years, passed away at the Hawarden hospital at 11 o'clock last Friday morning. She was brought to the hospital on Tuesday of last week and plans were being made for an operation, but before they were completed she passed away. She had been in poor health for the last two years.
Funeral services were held at the home, seven miles northeast of Hawarden, at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon and at the Baptist church in Alcester at 2 o'clock, with Rev. H. L. Peterson in charge. Interment was in the Alcester cemetery.
Theresa Oham was born in Stockholm, Sweden, March 25, 1888, and passed away Oct. 8, 1943, having attained the age of 54 years, 6 months and 13 days. She came to America when 22 years of age and located in this vicinity. Two years later she was united in marriage with Emil Lundeen and to this union were born three children. One child died in infancy. She is survived by her husband and two children, Lloyd at home, and Emily, who is taking a nurse's training course in the Methodist hospital in Sioux City. Besides her immediate family, she had no relatives in this country.
Mrs. Lundeen was a member of the Baptist church in Alcester.
