LAST RITES HELD FOR JOE LANGEN, 84, ON TUESDAY

Funeral services for Joe Langen, 84, of Aurora, S.D., were held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William's Catholic church in Aurora, S.D. Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Rock Valley.

Mr. Langen was born on October 19, 1886 at Boyden, Ia. He married Frances Kaskie on February 6, 1902 at Rock Valley. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors are his widow; one daughter, Mildred of Washington, D.C.

A brief news note on p. 5 of this issue of the newspaper says that he died on Friday [Feb. 20], and spells his surname Langan. His wife's obituary (Rock Valley Bee, Jan. 30, 1991) also spells the surname Langan.
