Aaron Larson, a resident of this community for more than fifty years passed away at his home in this city at 10:10 Saturday evening from diabetes and complications. Mr. Larson had been failing in health for a long time and was confined to his bed six months preceding his death.

Funeral services were held at the Ross Funeral Home at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and at 2 o'clock at the Big Springs Baptist church with Rev. B. L. Carlton of Worthington, Minn., a former pastor of the Big Springs church in charge. Interment as made in the East Big Springs cemetery.

Aaron Peter Larson, one of a family of nine children, was born in Notorp, Bodena Sockten, Narke, Sweden, May 23, 1865, and passed away July 21, 1934, having attained the age of 69 years, 1 month and 28 days. He grew to young manhood in his native country and in 1883, at the age of 18, he came to America with his parents. The family came to the Big Springs vicinity and located on a farm three fourths of a mile east of the Big Springs church. He lived with his parents until they passed away after which he continued to make his home on the home farm until 1918 when he and his sister, Miss Amanda Larson, moved to Hawarden and he made his home here continuously since that time. He was converted and confessed his faith Dec. 16, 1889, and was baptised in 1890, and became a member of the Big Springs Baptist church. He remained a faithful member of the church until death claimed him. He never married. He is survived by one sister, Miss Amanda Larson, and one brother, E. A. Larson, both of Hawarden.

Mr. Larson was fair in dealing with his fellowmen and his word was as good as his bond. During his long illness he bore his burden without complaining and he will be sorely missed by his sister for whom he made a home for many years.
