Mrs. Eggink an insane woman died at the poor house last Tuesday.
(This must be Christina Berghuis Eggin as noted in the Alton Reformed church records as died Jul 6, 1892. She was Mrs. Klaas Berghuis. In the 1885 census of Alton, Klaas was 40, Christina was 37, They had three children - Hendrik 12, Aaltje 10, Hendrikus 7.
She lost her husband in 1888.
The marriage record was found on Genlias.nl. Married 9 oct 1873 at Beilen Drents Netherlands, Klaas Eggink b. Dwingelo age 28 years married Christina Berghuis born Hoogeveen age 25. She was the daughter of Warner Berghuis and Aaltje Vrieriks, he was the son of Hendrik Gerriets Eggink and Hendrikje Klaasen Kuiper.)
