LUTJEN SERVICES HELD SATURDAY

Services for Elmer H. Lutjens, age 57 of Hull, iowa, who died Wednesday, July 2, 1975 in the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, were held in the Zion Lutheran Church in Hull on Saturday, July 5.

Mr. Lutjens was born August 30, 1917 to Wm. J. and Louise Lutjens on a farm near Doon. At the age of 4 he moved into Hull with his parents. He married Patricia Arendsen Oct. 2, 1941.

Elmer [was] employed in road construction business in the surrounding area since the age of 17. He was a baptized and confirmed member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hull. He served in the armed forces from 1942 to 1945 and was a member of the American Legion Post #380 of Hull.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; son, Greg, and his wife, Laura; daughter, Debra; grandson, Glen; two sisters: Mrs. Richard (Frances) Kuiper and Mrs. Casey (Ethyl) Heyman, all of Hull; and one brother, Edwin, of Waterloo, Iowa.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, an infant twin sister and brother. He is survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Military services were conducted at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery north of Hull.
