Funeral services for Mrs. Adolph Larson, 59, were held on Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. O. F. Pittack officiating. Interment was made in Grace Hill cemetery with the Barnard Funeral Home in charge.

Florence Alma, one of six children born to Amos Vaughn and wife, Julia (nee Barron), was born on September 16, 1899, at Fayette, Iowa, and spent her childhood and youth in that vicinity. On August 29, 1909, she became affiliated with the Fayette Methodist church through baptism and was received into full membership with the church on August 21, 1910.

Later in life she moved to Sioux City where she married Leander Harbeck. On August 18, 1954, she was married to Adolph Larson by Harold V. Bartz, Methodist minister at Le Mars and since that time had lived on a farm northwest of Hawarden in South Dakota.

About four months ago she became interested in the chief doctrines of Scripture and enrolled in the adult discussion group of the local Lutheran church, with the purpose of affiliating with the congregation on Palm Sunday. But on Friday morning, February 27, she was stricken with a heart attack to which she succumbed quite suddenly.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother and a sister.

Survivors include the widower; Adolph Larson; two sons, Joseph and James Harbeck of Sioux City; one brother, Jack Vaughn, also of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Edde, New Orleans, LA., and Mrs. Margaret Crane of Sioux Falls; eight step-children, and several nephews and nieces.
